Dear Parents and Guardians:
Report Cards were sent home with students today. Please sign and return the manila envelope to school on Monday. OnCourse Connect grading portal is now open again for grades 3rd-9th.
The 2017-18 school calendar now available under documents on the school website and mobile app.
There is no college shirt day this Friday for Middle or High School. It is an awards celebration for HEART and Attendance Awards. They will be dressing down. All other students should be in regular uniform.
We will have a college day for Dollars for Scholars next Friday, March 31st.
REMINDER: Spring Pictures Tomorrow
Maine Ave. Campus Spring pictures are tomorrow, Thursday, March 23rd. Pictures can be ordered using the brochure that was sent home last week or the online order form. We will not be taking sibling pictures so please be sure each student has his/her own completed brochure or online receipt. Picture Packages will ONLY be produced for children who have paid ON the day pictures are taken. Late orders will not be accepted. To reduce the potential loss of instructional time, we are asking for your help.
As a reminder, students may dress casual for Spring photos. Students are only allowed a Free Dress on this Thursday with payment for pictures. Students not taking Spring photos should wear their school uniform. Students will be sent home if not in compliance with the school dress code:
Skirt/dress hem must be knee length
Shorts must be knee length
No t-shirts with writing
No tank/crop/halter/strapless/backless tops
No jeans or pants with rips or holes (no jeggings or leggings as pants)
Protective, closed toe footwear must be worn at all times (no sandals or flip flops).

For the remainder of the year, all discipline infractions will be entered into OnCourse Connect. We have added a “Minor Infraction” code that will be used for all minor infractions so that these are visible to parents, guardians and students in OnCourse. This can be viewed by clicking the “Discipline and Behavior”. The “Referred By” section will contain the specific Minor Infractions Code Name (see chart below):
We are getting ready to recognize our Swamp Owls for various achievements on campus. We are distributing No Infractions, Perfect Attendance, No Tardies, HEART and Whole HEART awards for the 3rd Quarter (1/3/17 – 3/16/17). Please see the flier for details!

The Better Golf Academy for Kids will meet for 8 lessons, every Thursday, on the Maine Ave. Campus. Sign-ups will be acknowledged on a first-come, first-served basis. The first class will be Thursday, March 23rd. Registration forms are due in the KDHSA Front Office by Tuesday, March 21st. The cost is $132.00. See the attached registration form.

Tomorrow signals the end of the 3rd quarter, and for upper school students, the end to exams! What a better way to celebrate (and have the kiddos to sleep late on Friday) by heading over to City Park Night tomorrow night! Festivities start at 6pm and end at 9pm.
