The KDHSA Music Program
Presents
KDHSA Music Rehearsals-Summer Session
A summer workshop to help prepare students interested in being in the 2017-2018 KDHSA Band (including drumline) and/or KDHSA Orchestra. Mr.Totora and Mrs.Greer (both KDHSA music directors) will be leading the week long summer rehearsals.
Who Can Participate: 2017-2018 6th-10th graders interested in band or orchestra
*no experience required
When: July 10-14, 2017
Where: Music Room (205)
Band: 8-10 am Orchestra: 11-1 pm
Students will be preparing for next year’s music performances including concerts and parades.
Students must have an instrument in order to attend. If students don’t currently have an instrument, please contact danielle.greer@discoveryhsf.org or ronald.totora@discoveryhsf.org

Due to the potential severe weather this week, the administration has decided to CANCEL all summer programs on 6/21 and 6/22. This includes Bridges, Summer School, Discovery Camp, and Community works Camp. Our top priority is the safety of your child. As the weather continues to develop and weather predictions are more accurate we will keep you informed through our push messaging system.

All students need the information "High School Summer Reading Lists" and "Book of Choice Assignments". The other documents are book specific.

SUMMER SCHOOL AND BRIDGES PROGRAM Update
Parents/Guardians please be aware of the drop off and pick up location, as well as program times.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL will take place in THE HORSESHOE ONLY
ARRIVAL IS 8:20 for Summer School and Bridges
STUDENT IS TARDY AFTER 8:30 If a student arrives after gate is locked, please enter through the front office (Maine Ave.)
BRIDGES DISMISSAL IS AT 12:00 (Horseshoe)
BRIDGES STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO WEAR UNIFORMS. SUMMER SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST WEAR UNIFORMS.

Mental Health is Critical to Happy, Healthy Living!
Come to the KDHSA Health Fair on Saturday, May 20th from 10-2pm to:
-Gather resources about mental illness
-Participate in Art as Therapy
-View and Aromatherapy Presentation


Attention 8th and 9th grade parents. Don't forget that tomorrow, May 16, we will be offering Athletic Physicals on campus for anyone planning to participate in ANY sport, including cheer and dance, for the 2017-2018 school year. These physicals are REQUIRED.
Make sure to bring in your signed form and 10$ to the middle school office first thing tomorrow morning.
