KDHSA Families:
Yesterday around 5:30pm, lightning struck a transformer on Idaho Ave. causing a power outage in the area. After loud noises were heard by staff, the school immediately went into lockdown. Kenner Police Department was contacted to access the area. All power remained on at KDHSA. No students or staff were harmed. As always your child’s safety is important to us.

Don't Forget!!!
High School Back to School Night is Monday, September 18 at 6pm. Come tour our new campus on Vintage and Loyola and meet your child's teachers. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
Below you will find a link to the KDHSA High School (Vintage Campus) Handbook. The handbook contains important expectations, procedures and policies that govern our school community and help support a positive learning environment. Today, highlights from the handbook were shared with students during an assembly by Dr. Kennedy and Mrs. Schott.
Please take time over the next few days to read through the handbook with your child. Within the handbook you will find a signature page. The handbook signature page must be signed and returned no later than Monday, September 18. As this is a living document and will be updated regularly, please check the high school folder on the KDHSA website for the latest version of the handbook.
All students who turn in the handbook signature page on time will be allowed to wear shoes of choice to school Friday, September 22.
We are looking forward to a productive, safe and exciting year on our new campus. Thank you for being a part of it.
