HOSA State Leadership Conference is about more than exploring health science careers, it is also about competition. This aspect of the conference was not lost on the Swampowls. KDHSA brought a team of middle school and 9th grade students to compete against teams of mostly upperclassmen. In our first ever trip to HOSA State Leadership Conference, Kenner Discovery's team of only 15 placed in the top 3 in more events than any other school. These honors include over $5,000 in scholarships from Johnson and Wales University. Winners include:
