Discovery Schools Celebrate Academic Excellence with School Performance Scores
Kenner Discovery Regains “A” Status, All Schools Earn “Top Gains” Honors
The Discovery Schools network is proud to announce the school letter grades for the 2023-2024 academic year. These ratings are part of the Louisiana Department of Education’s school accountability system, which evaluates school performance based on various factors, including student test scores, growth metrics, and overall achievements in key subject areas.
Our flagship school, Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, regained its “A” status, improving its performance score by 4.7 points compared to last year. Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery earned a “B” grade in its inaugural year. Additionally, Dr. John Ochsner Discovery also received a “B” grade, showcasing an impressive increase of 3.7 points in its performance. All three Discovery Schools have been recognized as “Top Gains Honorees,” a designation awarded to schools that show significant growth in student academic progress from one year to the next.
